About The OIG




History


The history of the Inspector General dates back to King Louis XIV. He first created inspectors general of the infantry and the calvary in 1688, and then created inspectors general for geographic regions.
  Overview

The New Orleans OIG was established in 2006 by the City Code Ordinance 2-1120 pursuant to section 9-401 of the Home Rule Charter.
